Something that I've always to try to make, mainly because of the insistence from my grandma about the ease to make and how delicious they are - were wontons. I really wanted to make a big batch so that I could keep them in the freezer and have them whenever I wanted a quick meal that was easy to cook , delicious and healthy. And just like my grandma said they would be, they were really easy to make.

I chose to follow the recipe from the spruce eats
https://www.thespruceeats.com/pork-and-shrimp-wonton-4077052
the only thing I changed was that I didn't add any rice wine vinegar since I didn't have any in the cupboards and I think it tasted really good without it anyway.
Anyway I decided to wrap them in two different ways, one like you would find in a traditional supermarket (shown on the left) and a new way I saw on Pinterest (on the right) that personally I prefer, I think they look neater and more uniform.

My grandma was also right, it was incredibly easy to make, only you minced up all the filling and add all the seasoning all you have to do is fill the wonton skins.
NB: the wonton skins are found in the freezer section of the Chinese supermarket, it'll save you from having to walk up and down each aisle like I had to.
Once you have a system going, it is really easy to wrap them and before you know it you have 40 or so wontons ready to cook. I personally found that there was leftover filling, but I just made these into meatballs and cooked them with the wontons, so there was nothing to waste.
I served mine with the thin version of the traditional wonton noodle, and some spring onions and sesame oil on top. It was delicious!
